24 Weeks

I can't believe it's already 24 weeks into this pregnancy! There's only 40 total, so we are getting near the end! We are so so so excited and I LOVE being pregnant! It's gone super fast and I know it will only keep getting faster with our busy summer. It is definitely very obvious that I'm pregnant now. I compare the picture from this week with the last one at 20 weeks and I am MUCH bigger. I'm a skinny 5'3" girl so there isn't much room for the baby to go other than out. This little boy is growing a lot, which is super great and I'm very grateful for! I feel like I'm already starting to waddle at times. My hips are starting to hurt already, I'm sure from Little Boy growing, my hips stretching, and the extra weight. But when my hips hurt extra a lot I definitely waddle. I've been going to the chiropractor for adjustments and it seems like that has been helping. I think it's just part of pregnancy though and will just be there.
The absolute best thing so far is watching and seeing my belly move! I seriously love it and wish I could just sit and watch it all day! His kicks and punches are definitely getting stronger and are all over the place! Some days he moves more than others. I've been reading a lot lately and just rest my arms on my belly since it's there and comfy for my arms. As soon as my arms barely even touch me, he just sits and kicks my arms over and over! It makes me laugh! I guess he doesn't like even a little bit of his space being touched! I think he sleeps when I sleep cause I never wake up to him moving which is good. It's easy for Collin to feel him move now and he loves that! He also talks to the baby a lot, which I absolutely love!
Our nursery is coming together!!! We found a dresser at Goodwill that we need to refinish, but I think that's the last main thing/furniture item we need.We have the crib, pack-n-play, la-z-boy, swing, dresser, and bookshelf. It's so exciting getting everything together. Collin has finals starting in 2 weeks so I think the dresser will be mostly my job, but I've been "nesting" a lot and getting things done so I am totally up for the project. We want it done before we go to UT in the middle of June since when we get back it'll be 2 months til we are due and I don't want to put it off til the last minute.
One last thing, I'm already hot most of the time and the hottest it's gotten here is about 85. I'm in trouble this summer!
I've finished the quilt top for the blanket I'm making him! I really like how it turned out. I now just need to get some batting and sew that and the back together then quilt it (with my Mom and sisters in UT). I am so so excited to be a Mom and ready for this next chapter in our family!
