Mini Golf Date Night

We finally have something to post on our blog other than baby things! For our date night last night we decided to do something a little different. Normally we just go get dinner and then come home and watch a movie. We love those dates, but every once in awhile it's nice to do something different. Last night we went to Chick-fil-A. We really like Chick-fil-A and the weather was nice so we ate outside. We were the only ones outside which made it really nice that it wasn't extra loud with people everywhere. I'm so glad the weather is warm so we can be outside more. And thankfully, the cow was not there. Every time we go he's always walking around, but not yesterday. For those who don't know, I am afraid of mascots/people dressed up in huge costume things like those. Whenever we go there I keep my eyes on the cow pretty much every time bracing myself for when he comes over to us. Although before we went yesterday I decided I was just going to embrace it and not freak out over the cow so much, and then of course he wasn't even there. But I was able to actually enjoy dinner more without him there so that was good!
We then went mini golfing. We have gone several times together but we hadn't been for about a year. We looked up a place online and went there. The place we went to was just okay. We had a lot of fun and laughed a lot, but the actual mini golf wasn't the greatest. The "putting green" things were torn up even on some of them so that was annoying. You'd think they'd make sure to take care of their green mat fake grass stuff since it's mini golf, but they didn't. Toad's in UT and Golfland in AZ are both MUCH better than the place we went to, but we still had fun! And my dad and brothers would be so proud of me, I beat Collin 61-64. He should have beat me but had two holes that he got a 7 and a 9 on. Every time we've gone mini golfing I've won. All the week long short summer golf lessons back when I was like 8 that my parents had me do paid off I guess!
Then we went to our favorite park here in Davenport and went for a little walk. The park is so beautiful with tons of trees, super green, a little pond, and a shooting water fountain thing! It's perfect for walks! We were sitting on a bench and saw some ward members! It was fun seeing them and enjoyed talking with them! Then of course we had to come home and watch a movie and made some brownies!

All the holes were super close together like this. I think that's why it wasn't as fun cause it just kinda felt like the same thing on each of them other than little tiny differences.

  1. I can tell you a fun place if you ever get down to the Tampa, Florida area. Clay and his family would even show you - his girls are so funny to go with!

  2. Clay and his family are so fun to go with - so if you EVER get to the Tampa, Florida area give them a call. His girls will have you in stitches as they show you 'how it is done'! It was one of the highlights of our trip when we were there this month :)
