Baby Stuff

Our collection of Baby Items seems to be growing very rapidly. We've had AWESOME people in the ward help us out. My visiting teacher brought over 4 garbage bags of baby boy clothes for me to look at. Also, several ward members were having a big combined yard sale that we were able to get lots of baby clothes and items at. We have a whole corner of the baby's room filled with baby stuff already! We bought our crib about a month ago but just had it on layaway. Well, we picked it up last weekend. I was wanting to put it up as soon as it was home, but Collin was SO busy studying that there wasn't time to put it up. But he promised me that we'd put it up Friday and I'm so so so excited! I know our baby isn't coming for about another 4 months, but I just want to get everything all put together because I love this baby so much already and I'm excited to see baby stuff up.
Also, I've started sewing a baby quilt. I decided to have the squares randomly placed instead of in a pattern or certain design. So I went to Joann's and spent probably an hour just deciding on fabric. Well I got home and cut each square by hand since we don't have a big rotary cutter. I really wish we did though cause that would have made it so much easier, especially since the cuts at Joann's aren't always the straightest. Well then I started randomly placing them on the floor. I spent like an hour moving squares all over cause my brain just couldn't handle to "random"ness. Even though it's random and shouldn't matter right?! Well to me it was. I was going crazy if I had the same square twice in one row or column. The same square couldn't be touching another square in several places on the quilt. Oh my gosh I was going crazy. I finally had Collin come up and look at it and tell me his thoughts. We changed a few more things then I just had to tell myself to stop! Well then I sewed the squares together for the rows. Then once I had all the rows sewn out of course then I was rearranging the rows. Silly me. I had it laid out in a spare room we have and every time I walked past I would look for things that were "wrong". I finally just had to stack up the rows so I'd stop messing with it. My brain just can't handle random things I guess, I don't know.
