Almost There!!

I've been taking "belly bump" pictures whenever I've had doctor appointments. I now have doctor appointments every week so I am now taking pictures every week! I'm 37 Weeks now, which they consider "term". Everything is all developed in the baby besides the lungs and brain and they are simply finishing up the last things. I know I say this every time, but we are so excited for this little guy to be born! We cannot wait until he's here! Only 3 weeks until our due date, CRAZY!! The doctors are saying everything is looking great! He's still moving around constantly and has now "dropped". My hips are feeling that, that's for sure. I go to the chiropractor 2 times a week now, which helps. They adjust my hips and then loosen all my muscles around my hips and uterus. I love that I can get free chiropractic care since Collin's at school and that he will eventually be able to do all of that for our family!
I have loved being pregnant and it is something I've been waiting for my whole life. This last week though has been when it has started to be not quite so fun. My feet are now swelling a little and I can only wear flip flops. I have never been one to be okay with myself wearing flip flops to church, but I now have no choice. I can't get on any of my sandals or heels, it makes me so sad! Also, with my hips hurting it makes walking not so fun. Every once in a while they start to really hurt and I have to limp. Thankfully, I only get that a few times a week and not constantly. I'm ready to sleep fully on my stomach again and not half side/half stomach. But even with all those things, I still love being pregnant. It is everything I've imagined and more. Feeling this little boy move all around makes me so happy and I just smile. It does hurt sometimes when he does, but I still love it. After he's born that's what I'm going to miss most! I am not looking forward to that.
The dresser we've been working on is ALMOST done. All the staining is done, 3 coats!! Our crib is very dark so we were trying to get the dresser to match. It's not the exact same, but it's pretty close! All that's left now is just the polyurethane on top. That should be done this week. Collin will do a little bit of it everyday since his dad said that also needs 3 coats.
We have such an amazing ward here! They threw me a baby shower yesterday. Our friends who live just up the street from us (she also went to Mesa High - AWESOME) wanted to throw me a shower. She told me back in February when we announced it that she wanted to do one for me here, so her and a few others helped put one on. There were a lot of women from the ward that came and a friend whose husband goes to school with Collin. It was a lot of fun and the food was AMAZING! There was homemade yogurt & granola with tons of fruit to go with it, delicious breads and muffins, ham & egg quiche, and yummy orange and banana juice. Everyone wrote down advice for me and also there was an ABC book for the women there to draw pictures for each letter. It was so cute! Thanks so much to our amazing ward and for the friendship and support everyone gives! We couldn't ask for a better ward that's for sure. Also, for Activity Days this week they threw me a surprise baby shower that the girls got to go to without their Moms. They absolutely loved it!
Here's my goofy "Collin we need to take a picture" picture.

36 Weeks

37 Weeks

Also, I haven't really talked much about Collin in school, which I feel like I should include a little bit of that. He is doing so great, of course! Since he missed the first week of school being in Utah, he has felt a little behind in most of his classes and has been playing "catch up". Well just this week he told me he feels caught up so that's great. He just finished up Midterms - crazy that this trimester is already half over! I am so proud of him and for all the work he's doing to help our future family! I know he will keep working hard and doing his absolute best.

  1. I was so hoping the day you were limping bad that you would have had to ride around in the motorized shopping cart.
