Well I am now 34 Weeks pregnant - that means only 6 to go!!!! (Actually now that I'm finally typing this up I'm 35 weeks, but when I took the picture I was 34 so I'll just stick with that for this) That is so so so crazy! Time has flown! It is definitely starting to hit both of us how little time is left! I'm due Sept 13, that's only like a month away! I really can't believe it! The only thing I've ever wanted my whole life is to be married and have kids. The being married part has been around for 3 years, but having kids is finally here and I can't wait! Yes people say it's hard and will change your life, which I know is true, but I'm a positive person and tend to look at the postives, even when there's hard things going on.
I can't wait to kiss his little toes, feet, head, cheeks, fingers, and pinch his little bum. Just the other night his little bum was sticking out so Collin pinched it. It's like there was a huge wave inside me cause that little boy moved TONS from that. When he stopped Collin did it again and the same thing happened. But this morning when Collin pinched his bum, it didn't even phase our little guy! We are so excited to just hold him and look at his sweet little face. His ultrasound profile picture has been my computer desktop ever since the ultrasound, but I'm excited to finally really get to see what he looks like!
Not much on the baby's room has been done. The dresser is almost done. This weekend Collin had Thurs and Fri off so we finished the sanding and today we should get all the staining done. That means all that's left is the polyurethane (whatever that is, Collin knows and that's what matters) on top and then bring it inside and start putting his clothes away. Once that is done, we'll hang all the airplane pictures and the Nauvoo temple picture and then I think his room will be pretty much ready!
So the baby's room isn't done, but I've gotten quite a bit of deep cleaning done. Dusting, mopping, cleaning blindes, cleaning the bathroom - ugh my least favorite job in the house, I've packed our hospital bags besides the last minute things we have to get, got digital copies of movies for the hospital, and tons of other things! I had a list of about 15 things and it's now down to 2 - vacuum upstairs and clean off our dresser which altogether will take maybe 30 minutes. I'm glad it's almost done!
Our little man is definitely running out of room. It hurts sometimes when he moves cause I feel like my skin is about to rip apart. There's no room left for him. But according to some websites, he's about 18 inches now and weighs about 5 pounds - so a couple more inches and pounds for him to grow in these last few weeks!
We've been taking a childbirth class through the hospital. I'm glad we've done that. The first class was very boring, but since then it's been really helpful to know kind of what to expect and how things will work. We got to tour the Labor & Delivery part of the hospital so we know what will be there and how things run. It's finally hitting home that this is for real and it's going to happen before we know it.
We are so grateful for all the kind things people have done for us so far - baby showers, gifts, advice, and giving us items they don't need anymore. I've finally written all the Thank You's from the baby showers in Utah. Everything has been very much appreciated and I'm not sure what we would be doing without all the help.
The only picture I have for this post is just what I look like at 34 weeks. I think I look very big in this picture, but the doctors say everything is measuring right where it should! The next post should be all about the dresser cause it should be done Monday if all goes well. Oh one more thing - thankfully I am still able to wear my wedding ring! It's getting tight and hard to take off, but at this point it's staying on. I only have 6 weeks, it's staying where it's at!!!
