1 Month Old

This last weekend our parents were here for Scott's blessing. We were so happy and excited for them to be here! Since they were only here for a few days, Collin and I both gave up most of our time holding him so they could all hold him as much as possible. It was fun seeing him with his Grandmas and Grandpas. We mostly just sat at home loving on our little boy and talking, but we also went out for dinner, went shopping, and went to Whitey's for ice cream twice. Unfortunately Collin is in the middle of Finals Week so he was busy studying and taking tests while they were here. They were planning on only being here Thursday through Monday, but due to flight cancellations they got to stay an extra day. Then their flight home tonight they missed their connecting flight and now have to stay in Detroit over night. We were happy to have them here for an extra day, but at the same time felt bad that they had to miss more work. Scott's blessing was wonderful. I'm so glad Collin holds and honors the Priesthood. Scott wore Collin's baby blessing tux and looked so cute! I was worried he'd cry all through the blessing but he slept through it all. We are so blessed to be raising one of our Heavenly Father's children. We love being parents and wouldn't trade it for anything.

Screaming ready to eat

He loved talking with Grandma. He gave her tons of smiles

Very captivated by Grandpa talking to him

Loved sleeping in Grammy's arms

Our little Scotty is one month old today! I cannot believe it! That went so fast! Here are a few things he's up to now.

- LOVES music. Almost anytime we have music on he sits and listens. He especially loves the music on his swing
- Getting pretty good at holding his head up when we hold him up by our shoulders and is getting better during tummy time
- LOVES bath time. A few nights ago he even fell asleep while in the tub
- Learned to arch his back when upset
- Starting to coo, especially when we are talking to him
- Likes to smile at Mom after he eats
- Newborn clothes are just about too small
- Likes going for walks in the stroller
- Loves riding in the car
- Loves looking at our ceiling fan and out the windows
- Likes crossing his feet like Dad and wiggling his toes like Mom
- Pooped through his outfit for the first time 3 days ago while shopping
- Went to church for the first time the day he was blessed, Oct 12
- Likes hanging out in his bouncer when Mom showers
- Likes taking naps in his crib, swing, and on Mom and Dad's chest
- Eats about every 2 hours during the day and every 3-4 at night

In the middle of a sneeze

First time I've been able to get a smile on camera. Not the best picture though.

We can't get over how cute his little toes are. And he's spreading them out just like I do.

  1. Scott is so cute - I can see McKay in him. And I see some one made him some Barker Bootee's to wear :)

    1. Also, he was so good in the pictures with Grandma's and Grandpa's at the church and then mom and dad got him and he woke up and decided he had enough and was hungry!
