She learned to walk right about the time she turned 1. For about the month and a half before her birthday she would take a few steps, fall, and then crawl where she wanted to go. She finally figured out walking is better and walks everywhere all day, and she's got the cutest little walk I've ever seen.
She loves music and immediately starts dancing and singing as soon as she hears it.
Her naps are finally at least an hour and half usually, but her sleeping at night is not good. She used to sleep until around 4:30 before waking up to eat, but then we took a trip to UT and ruined that. Now that all the summer family visitors are over we are back to trying to get her back to sleeping through the night. So far - not good! Everyone at our house is very tired.
She always wants to be outside. She loves to play with Scott's baseballs, draw with chalk, and try to eat rocks, and climb in and out and in and out of the back screen. She likes the park and going down the slides.
Grammy bought her a bunch of play necklaces. She puts them on and takes them off all day everyday.
She's eating more and more food. Her favorites are pizza, chocolate, watermelon, and chips. Lately, she has really been wanting our forks so we are giving her her own fork at dinner a lot and she is trying to use it, which is fun to watch.
She loves to "help" me do laundry.
She got to go to her first Bear Lake cabin trip this summer. She enjoyed eating the sand and riding on the boat. Surprisingly the life vest didn't really bother her.
Any shoes, shirt, pants, or hat she has to try and put on, especially if they are Scott's.
Her hair has some curl in it that I'm hoping stays as she gets older. I love putting ponytalks in her hair and yesterday I did pigtails for the first time. It was cute, but she screamed at me and squirmed the whole time I put them in.
Whatever Scott is doing and playing with, she wants as well. He is her best friend.
She is really good at communicating and letting us know what she wants. Her only words so far are mom and dad, but she's using more and more sounds recently and likes to copy us.
