Halfway There!!!!

Well since tomorrow I am 20 weeks pregnant, I will be officially halfway! We are so so so excited! Time is going so quick! Although we have an ultrasound on Thursday and will find out if we're having a boy or a girl and I'm afraid that the next few days will go extremely slow since we are so excited for that! But everyone keeps asking me how I'm feeling so I figured I might as well put it all up on the blog. I am feeling great! I was sick the first trimester but around the time we came back to Iowa I started feeling better. Thankfully I only threw up once, I was just really nauseous everyday after lunch. And now it is totally good.
I have had to do a little bit of shopping to get some shirts that fit and look better. I still have shirts that I can wear, I just don't want to stretch them out and make it so they look really bad when I wear them post-pregnancy. Definitely cannot wear my regular jeans though. My sister brought me some maternity pants in January which I am SO grateful for. I've gained about 10 lbs. I'm not afraid to share that because I know that all the weight I've gained is for the best reason ever and it doesn't bother me. The only thing I crave is sugar, which was what I was before anyway. I'm a sugar-holic so I REALLY want sugar now. However, I know it's not great to eat tons of sugar when pregnant so I'm trying to not give in every time. Oh, we put a crib on layaway and I am SO excited to get it and set it up in our house. We absolutely LOVE it!!!!!
I have been feeling the baby since I was 14.5 weeks which I guess is super early, especially with the first baby. At first I was only feeling kicks every few days. It felt like little tiny taps inside - SO COOL! Now I feel the baby everyday and not just the kicks or punches but even if the baby is moving around in there. I absolutely love it! Collin was able to feel the baby kick at about 17.5 weeks, now every time he puts his hand there to feel of course the baby stops moving.
I am still wearing my wedding ring, which was a little too big to begin with anyway. I really really hope I can wear it through my whole pregnancy. I never take it off and don't plan to while pregnant so hopefully it keeps working out for me. The baby can now hear what's going on out here, so I have been sure to play piano more often or music playing so the baby learns to love it before ever leaving the womb. Start 'em young! And thankfully it's getting warmer so Collin and I can go on walks. We change up our walk route every time to keep it different. I love going on walks with him though, especially since he's so busy studying for school all the time. It's about half an hour to an hour everyday that I can just talk with him without feeling bad.
I absolutely love being pregnant! We have loved this baby ever since we found out we were pregnant and are so excited for September to get here. I love when Collin goes down by my belly and talks to the baby. It is one of the sweetest things. At times it's a little overwhelming to think of raising one of our Heavenly Father's children, but I am so grateful and feel extremely blessed with the trust He has in us to be parents.
