Greatest Miracle

We're pregnant!!! And we were pregnant when the accident happened, but not by much. We did not know we were pregnant, but were hoping! It was early enough that when we got to the hospital and they did their routine pregnancy test, it was negative. Well I went in to have surgery on my collar bone Jan. 9 almost 3 weeks after the accident and found out I was pregnant! They were not able to do the surgery because of that. I was bummed to have to wait to have the surgery, but SUPER excited we were pregnant. I went to an orthopedic doctor here in Iowa and don't actually need surgery on my collar bone anyway. It healed and there are no problems from how it healed thankfully! I was worried to have surgery and exposing the baby to more medications and things like that. Since the hospital's pregnancy test was negative they had me on IVs, pain meds, and I had several X-Rays done. I was not wanting even more medications getting to the baby from having surgery. Thankfully we don't have to worry about that! Last week we had an Ultrasound and everything is looking great with the baby! I'll be 13 weeks on Saturday and we are due Sept 13. We could not be more excited and grateful for this HUGE miracle and all the blessings and miracles protecting and helping this baby along.
