Christmas Activities

Two weeks ago for Family Night Collin and I made snowflakes to decorate our front door and drank hot chocolate. I couldn't even remember when the last time I had made snowflakes was. It was a lot of fun and reminded me of when I was in elementary school. There's like a lacey curtainy thing on our front door. Well when we went to put the snowflakes on we realized that lacey thing was SO dirty and dusty. It looked like it hadn't been washed for years. So we took it off and washed it, but it didn't do much help. It's still pretty dirty.
Last Friday we made gingerbread houses with Kevin and Ashley. My family always does a candy house, which is similar but not the same. I had never made a gingerbread/graham cracker house before so I had no clue what I was doing. Collin helped me build the house part but then I decorated it. Kevin and Ashley's house kept breaking so they finally got new graham crackers and started over. Collin got their frosting covered graham crackers and made a "skyscraper" I think is what he called it. We had a lot of fun that night and are very grateful for our friendship with them.
Monday Ashley and I got together and had a baking day. I forgot my camera so I don't have any pictures, but we made 7 Layer Cookie Bars, Peanut Butter Blossoms (cookies with kisses on top), chocolate chip and M&M cookies, Oreos,  fudge, and 3 kinds of chex mix. They are driving home to West Virginia and we are driving home to Utah so we figured making chex mix was a good idea. We then had a roast dinner altogether when Collin and Kevin got done with school.

I HAD to put this one up!
